The New Viper Scale Racing Track Arrived - Build in Progress For STLP State Championships

New Pictures Added at the Bottom 1/13/2016

The new Viper Scale Racing drag strip arrived over the holidays and we have started building the tables and electronics for the new track!  We will post new pictures as we make progress in the building of the new track and all the components that make up the system we will be using at the Kentucky STLP State Championships.  Many, many thanks to Dan Cronin and Viper Scale Racing for producing a fantastic track.  This is a commercial grade, solid PVC track surface with embedded rails, power taps for each section and backed by 1/2 inch of MDF board.  The total track length is 30 feet and only has 8 sections of track.  It is incredibly smooth and the only thing you can hear when the cars run the strip are the gears in the cars!  Here's what we have completed so far:

1-2. The Box and it's contents.  3. The wiring system.  4. The Starting Line.

1. The Finish Line  2-3. The start of the Racing Tables.  4. How the track will fit into the tables.
1. Here's the whole 30 feet laid out!

The new stations will have holders for the controllers and all of the wiring will be contained and out of the way of the racer's feet.

Check in again soon.  We will be posting updates as the building of the new track progresses!
