  • New Sponsor - Welcome Super Tires
Racing to the Future™ would like to welcome Super Tires as a new sponsor for our KY STLP State Championship Event.  Nick and Sandy from Super Tires have sent a nice package of prizes that will be awarded to the students in each age group that achieve the best Elapsed Time (ETs) and the Fastest MPH (Actual Speed) during the event.  The prizes will be awarded at the event.  Students, parents and teachers can purchase from Super Tires at the link below or in the Sponsor List on the right of the Racing to the Future™ home page.

  • 2017 Racing to the Future™ Rulebook - Rubric and Design Sheet Examples
It's that time of year again racers!  Time to get the garage doors open and start building for the racing season.  Below are links to the new 2017 Racing to the Future™ Rulebook, Rubric (for KY STLP) and Design Sheet Examples to get you started.  We are making several changes this year to allow for the increased number of student racers we are getting.  The old "round robin" race format will no longer be used.  We will be returning to a double elimination, bracket style format for each age group.  That will allow us to have more student racers participate within the time restraints we have at the State Championship Event at Rupp Arena.  All this is covered in the 2017 Rulebook.  So check it all out, build and be ready to race.  April 12th and the Championship will be here before you know it!

  • 2016-2017 Announcement Updates
There's lots of things happening and we have several things to announce this week!  KY STLP Fall Regional events will begin next week on November 3rd with our first on-the-road visit to Murray State University.  We are looking forward to meeting our student racers on the west side of the state and seeing all the cool things the students bring to the regional event.  We will be attending all of the KY STLP Fall Regional events from November 3rd through December 12th.  If you have the opprotunity, please come out and attend the event and see what our KY students can do with some technology and a lot of imagination!  We will have the Racing to the Future™ drag strip on display and operational, with our new timing and race management system, so come by the display and get a peek at what the state event will look like for 2017!

Over the next three weeks, we will be releasing the new rulebook, rubric, judging procedures, race procedures for state championships in KY (or for competition events in other locations) and a car guide for what cars are allowed for competitions.  There are a couple of new manufacturers with new car designs on the market, so we will review those and determine if they can be new options for our student racers.  We will send out a notification on the KY-STLP ListServ and on this site when the new rulebook, rubric and other new information is available.  This should be ready around the second week of November, so be watching for it.

We would also like to welcome Scale Auto (BSRT) as a new sponsor for Racing to the Future™.  A link to their site is now posted on the landing page, that will take you to their web store.  They are a great source for custom performance parts and cars.

We always look forward to the next new season of racing competition, but we think this year will be even more exciting and we will all see some really cool and innovative ideas from our student racers in the quest to go faster.
